One of Osman’s greatest loves and motivators
is our
youth. He continuously uses his work and
work ethic
to innovate several community programs and schools
as
well as charitable organizations. The Philadelphia
Eagles Youth Partnership, for example, raised
a
considerable amount through the auction of a
few
pieces crafted and donated by the artist.
In addition, Osman guest speaks at functions
hosted
by such groups to share his motivation.
Once, when
speaking to a young person about the origin of
his
art, Osman replied, “No one told me I couldn’t
do it.”
He relentlessly stands by this statement
and his art
never ceases to show that with the power of the
mind
one can do anything the heart desires.
To this day
Osman continues to express his creative genius
in
acting, writing and filming original screenplays,
composing and performing original lyrics and
music, as
well as designing his own line of clothing.
For
someone so modern and futuristic, Osman Karriem
can
also be described as somewhat of a Renaissance
Man.
Celebrities spanning the many branches
of
entertainment, sports, and business enjoy his
art.
Osman’s clientele includes such greats as Prince,
Busta Rhymes, Spike Lee, Roy Jones Jr., Boys
II Men,
Reggie White of the Philadelphia Eagles, Kane
of the
WWF, and Jose Cruz Jr.; just to name a few.
Osman proves to be a personable and well-informed
individual. He has been featured in Emerge
magazine,
the Sport’s Collector’s Digest, Beckett Football
Card
Monthly, and Philadelphia Magazine. The
artist has
also appeared in interviews on the ABC, Family
Channel, WTVR-TV (Richmond, VA), and WPVI-TV
(Philadelphia, PA) networks. Recently Osman
has been
slated for an appearance on the Rosie O’Donnell
Show.
Osman Karriem wishes more to share his
vision and
contemporary touch throughout the millennium
and
beyond. His art, insight, and accuracy
have such a
futuristic quality that he shall only grow more
as a
person and an artist in years to come.
